Seamans Building has celebrated the long service of its staff at a special awards event.
More than 55 staff from across the business gathered at The Victoria in Thurston on April 2 to shine a light on those who had been with the company for more than ten years – with some employees celebrating more than 40 years at the company.
Addressing those gathered, Managing Director Duncan Haydon said: “Today we are saying thank you to you all.
“Each of you are executing a wide range of work, heritage tasks, modern new builds; each task with unique and, at times, quite technical demands; a number of those challenges recognised by industry awards.
“Here we recognise those individuals who have shown exceptional loyalty, commitment, and dedication to our company, acknowledging their continuous employment.”
More than 36% of Seamans’ employees have worked with the company for more than ten years, with 12% at the company having worked for 25 years or more.
Following the ceremony, Duncan added: “This celebration was an opportunity to say thank you to our employees for their hard work and dedication over the years.
“Seamans Building has members of staff who have been with us for decades, so it’s wonderful to be able to get together to raise a glass to their achievements.
“We have an amazing team here at Seamans, with years of construction experience, and are proud that employees want to be with us for so many years.
“From new recruits just starting an apprenticeship to those who have been here for 40 years or more, our staff are at the heart of everything we do, so we are proud to celebrate their success.”
